Vodder Technique

The lymphatic system is a network of organs and vessels throughout the body. It drains fluid (called lymph) that has leaked from the blood vessels into the tissues and empties it back into the bloodstream via the lymph nodes. This system supports our body’s fluid balance and immune system by filtering toxins, bacteria, broken down cellular debris and fat out of our tissues. When this system is out of balance we see a back up of toxins throughout the body causing swelling, inflammation, pain, wounds, infections and delayed healing.

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is most appropriate for anyone with an otherwise healthy lymphatic system, who needs support to get back on track. This treatment uses light touch and stretch of the skin to promote proper functioning of the lymphatic system. This is commonly requested to treat:

Edema throughout the body

Chronic venous insufficiency

Chronic pain and arthritis

Swelling related to pregnancy

Post surgery to reduce swelling and improve healing time Detoxification for weight loss

Fibromyalgia
